This section explains the different areas of the Family Resolution Centre.

Takes you back to the main screen. In this example, it's the first screen you see.

Talk it out

Takes you to Talk it out, the chat area, in the centre. Here, you can ask your mediator for help whenever you need to, and discuss your parenting and/or child support arrangements with the other parent. You can also upload files here.

To chat:

Type a message in the box, and press Enter or click the paper airplane icon. It's a good idea to keep each message short. Your message appears with your name beside it. The Family Resolution Centre also sends an email letting the recipient know there's a message waiting for them. And you receive emails whenever someone sends you a message.

To upload a file:

  1. Click the paperclip icon Files.
  2. In the pop-up window, find the file you want to upload. Select the file and click Open.

Request Help from a Mediator

Here you can ask your mediator to help you resolve differences with the other parent, and to draft your parenting and/or child support arrangements.

Here you see the files you uploaded, and the files the other parent shared with you. You can also download files here.

To download a file:

  • Click on the file name. The file downloads.
